On 4th December, I suddenly decided to buy the Microsoft Lumia 535 mobile phone; I had previously scanned for it's availability and later purchased this excellent device from a Nokia Store in Ekdalia Road, Kolkata. While Flipkart was showing a price of Rs. 9700/- for the black color, the store quoted Rs. 9050/-. The cover or back cover or the screen guards aren't out in the market yet, but that didn't stop me from buying Microsoft's first mobile phone with 1GB RAM and 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 200 Quad Core Processor and 5-inch IPS LCD Capacitive Touchscreen.

The look and feel: It's gorgeous. The black color. The design of Lumia 535 is awesome and it's great to hold this lightweight device. Personally, I am still a bit shaky about the cutting and curves of the back panel and it may slip if not held tightly. But holding it tightly often accidentally presses the power/screen off-on button which is located on the right side, roughly alongside it's middle.

Customizing the Lumia 535: It's made to serve me. So, I have customised the home screen according to the most used apps of my choice. Setting it up requires adding of several accounts one uses. It's a mini office and a social networking hub, hence my accounts are setup as per my requirements and it's amazingly keeping my in touch with the world.

The Selfie Camera: Everyone was waiting for this phone for it's 5 megapixel front camera which is run by a dedicated Lumia Selfie app. The pictures I have taken are clear, crisp and amazingly detailed ones. Apart from saving the original image, one can also apply filters and save the edited ones. Sharing is also enabled right from there itself. So, right now I am taking bigger and clearer selfie shots and sharing with my network of people.

The 5MP Rear Camera with LED Flash: It's an amazing camera for a photography lover like me. Apart from the full auto settings, Lumia 535 rear camera also has "pro" controls, it enables me to manually select focus distance, shutter speed and ISO! Ooops, Microsoft, you really surprised me! I can take "manual" shots with Lumia 535!

Dual SIM and Smart Dual feature: Microsoft Lumia 535 is powered with two microSIM slots, WCDMA and GSM. Two SIM slots means two mobile services of my choice, 3G on the 1st slot (42.2 Mbps HSDPA; 5.76 Mbps HSUPA) and 2G on the 2nd. For calling, the Smart Dual SIM feature lets you divert/forward between SIM1 and SIM2.

Social Networking, Emails and More: Once accounts are setup, I am ready with my emails, Facebook and Twitter apps, LinkedIN and other messengers and video call clients like Hike and Skype. All round connectivity is possible with Lumia 535, it's smart, it's smooth with a patient and careful setup.

Ease of Use: Difficult to use with one hand, there remains a risk of the device slipping from your palm. The touchpad is sometimes sticky, requires hard tapping and often erroneously reads double tapping of button link. There's no heating issues, neither over-heating yet.
